Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments

Hi everyone, I am getting this error message again, "Unable to verify account name or password" from my hotmail.it account on the MacBook. Despite attempting all the solutions suggested by Google/Apple, none seem to resolve the issue. A temporary fix I found was to delete hotmail account from the mail account list, and then re-add it again. This worked for a few weeks, but then the error message resurfaced. Any assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Best Regards, Felicia.

Same problem here. It was working fine for a couple of years, but the past few months the mail app keeps asking for my password then doesn't accept it.
I have the same problem as you. I keep deleting the account and it works for a couple of weeks and then get the error message again. I'm able to login in the web version. It's the Mail app on my MacBook Air that stops working all the time since I've gotten a new computer.
