New Teams meeting add-in is missing from outlook

Hi,

I have a PC with windows 11 and Office 365. I have installed the New Teams on it.
the user cannot create a teams meeting from outlook calendar.

When I looked for the add-in Options>Add-ins, I didnt see the add-in there, not even in the inactive or the disabled.

The add-in is installed when I looked in %AppData\local\microsoft\TeamsMeetingAddin..

I tried to uninstall Teams but again same problem.

I took the plugin from a PC that can launch teams meetings from outlook and put it in the folder of the PC that cant and it worked for a day now its not.

    I make this all and it works now

    Taskkill /F /IM outlook.exe

    Taskkill /F /IM ms-teams.exe

    xcopy G:\Support\Teams\TeamsMeetingAddin %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\TeamsMeetingAddin\*.* /S /Y

    %SystemRoot%\System32\regsvr32.exe /n /i:user %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\TeamsMeetingAddin\1.23.28501\x64\Microsoft.Teams.AddinLoader.dll

    reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\TeamsAddin.FastConnect" /v LoadBehavior /t REG_DWORD /d 3 /f

    In these cases, it's not about re-registering the Add-In DLL. It's simply not present on the machine in the first place, and we shouldn't have to do your workaround, so I've logged a ticket with MS support. First response was "are you sure it's not there?", followed a few days later with "have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Teams?"

    If anyone else with Unified Support can log a ticket and get some heat onto this issue, it'd be great.

    Just FYI, I had this Outlook problem today and an hour later IT pushed an update to New Teams and it restarted and fixed it. I am now on:

    You have Microsoft Teams version 23320.3014.2555.9170(preview). You've got the latest version. It was last updated on 12/7/2023.The client version is 49/23111630006.

    Unfortunately I cannot confirm this. I also use version 23320.3014.2555.9170. classic teams is uninstalled. There is no way to create a Teams appointment in Outlook (classic). The teams add-in is not available and there are no buttons integrated into Outlook either. However, the buttons are natively integrated in the new Outlook. I hope that Microsoft will present a solution soon.

    It seems like the consensus is that the only non-sketchy way to get the "Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office" COM add-in for Outlook 2016/2019/365 is to have classic Teams installed. As long as new Teams and classic Teams can co-exist, I guess I can live with this.

    But I'm concerned about what will happen after March 31, 2024 when users will be automatically upgraded to new Teams (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/new-teams-automatic-upgrade-announced ).

    When will Microsoft make a change to classic Teams that will impact the Teams Meeting COM add-in for Outlook?

    Might we get a new web add-in for Teams in Outlook that replaces the COM add-in?

    Can you please confirm whether you're using the Semi-Annual Enterprise or Monthly Enterprise update channels? I just bunged Monthly Enterprise onto a system and it's now working, with Teams (Classic) ever having been installed. Maybe, since Teams (work or school) is new, 2302 is just not new enough to work with it?
