Hi,

I have a PC with windows 11 and Office 365. I have installed the New Teams on it.
the user cannot create a teams meeting from outlook calendar.

When I looked for the add-in Options>Add-ins, I didnt see the add-in there, not even in the inactive or the disabled.

The add-in is installed when I looked in %AppData\local\microsoft\TeamsMeetingAddin..

I tried to uninstall Teams but again same problem.

I took the plugin from a PC that can launch teams meetings from outlook and put it in the folder of the PC that cant and it worked for a day now its not.

thank you

for over a month now, the .msi from the addin has been part of the new teams installation. you can extract it from the installation folder. theoretically, a machine-wide installation is possible. however, this did not work for us.

but what does work: define an applocker exception. then the .msi is automatically installed in the user context when the new teams is executed.

you can find the details in previous posts on this topic.

    This is getting ridiculous.

Classic Teams will be disabled on March 31, but New Teams does not have an Outlook plugin.

Does ANYONE know how to get the Teams add-in for Outlook without installing Classic Teams?

If not, everyone in my organization is going to lose access to the ability to schedule Teams meetings from Outlook. Does Microsoft acknowledge this shortfall of New Teams?

Why do you suggest going back to Classic teams when Classic teams is no longer available as of October?

The Microsoft co-pilot also suggested this and when I pointed out that classic was discontinued the answer was "oops my bad"

I am running on the new teams but using the classic outlook. The new outlook is not usable with 3rd party add-ins and is not ready for corporate use in my opinion.

Yes, the New Teams App is not available in my New Outlook. I have changed back to Classic Outlook but still no luck. Also changed back to Teams, still no luck. I cannot arrange / organize Teams meeting as Teams does not appear in my Outlook Calendar
