New Teams meeting add-in is missing from outlook

Hi,

I have a PC with windows 11 and Office 365. I have installed the New Teams on it.
the user cannot create a teams meeting from outlook calendar.

When I looked for the add-in Options>Add-ins, I didnt see the add-in there, not even in the inactive or the disabled.

The add-in is installed when I looked in %AppData\local\microsoft\TeamsMeetingAddin..

I tried to uninstall Teams but again same problem.

I took the plugin from a PC that can launch teams meetings from outlook and put it in the folder of the PC that cant and it worked for a day now its not.

    I don't get the slider to make it a teams meeting in the new outlook.

    I feel their pain; the migration to everything being an Edge-viewed web app is really screwing with my work processes. If I wanted a Chromebook, I would have purchased one.

    Many thanks. It works a treat for me however users being users don't like change! The new Outlook has gone down like a lead balloon and some have reverted back to the Outlook Client.

    I found an answer by falling forward. When I went to New Teams, I also toggled "Try the new Outlook" in my Outlook (Microsoft 365) desktop client. The Teams add-in doesn't appear in the Ribbon anymore but you can create a new Event in calendar, invite whomever you want as an attendee, and on the right of the window is a slider where you can make the Event a Teams Meeting.

    Since updating to MS Teams 2.1 v23307.2300.2497.5845 the Outlook Add-In is no longer present.

    Tried multiple different scenarios to no avail. Only available in the Classic version.

    Any help would be appreciated.
