New Teams meeting add-in is missing from outlook

Hi,

I have a PC with windows 11 and Office 365. I have installed the New Teams on it.
the user cannot create a teams meeting from outlook calendar.

When I looked for the add-in Options>Add-ins, I didnt see the add-in there, not even in the inactive or the disabled.

The add-in is installed when I looked in %AppData\local\microsoft\TeamsMeetingAddin..

I tried to uninstall Teams but again same problem.

I took the plugin from a PC that can launch teams meetings from outlook and put it in the folder of the PC that cant and it worked for a day now its not.

    I have the same issue, but I think I know the cause, however I don't have a solution.

    Our small business has it's domain hosted in WIX and the email provider is Google. All WIX DNS settings (MX records etc..) is pointing to Google. We have decided to invest in O365 so we have a business license and started using their apps. We decided to use Outlook and added our Google account as an IMAP/SMTP and emails are working. However, the 0365 acc has no record that emails should be coming through Google and therefore there is no sync with google calendar/mail when using web Outlook or MS Teams. Neither are linked to Google. In o65 admin it states our domain whereby DNS settings are managed by WIX and that an alias DOMAIN.onmicrosoft.com domain was created.

    We want O365 to work seamlessly and have outlook app/web synced properly with Teams app/web.

    How does one go about this migration activity? What would be the easiest way to do so without needing a company to support? It's worth noting, that we did plan to host our company website with a new provider (3rd party website company) and they have also agreed to host our mail so soon we will move off WIX & Google and the domain/website/mail will be hosted with them. This of course, does not fix the above issue. Any advice, will be useful, or please point me to a thread where I get help?

    1. Uninstall all browser downloaded or preinstalled versions.
    2. Download and install Teams from the store.

    This is the way.

    Thank you GR. I had New Teams, Outlook 2019 installed, and Teams classic was uninstalled. Just installing the Store version (and continuing with New Teams) added the Teams meeting add-in to Outlook 2019.

    Can you please explain how this is done to a non-techie?

    "But I noticed on some machines that the registry key was missing from Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\TeamsAddin.FastConnect

    Created a new DWORD key - LoadBehavior and set value to 3."

    this is definitrely the answer, just had the same problem on a new windows 11 laptop and on prem outlook 2016. the add in would not install at all. this fixed it for me thanks!
