    Hello Deborah Brown**,**

Good day! Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft community.

I am very sorry this inconvenience. To switch back to the classic view in Outlook, follow these steps:

    1. Open Outlook.
    2. Navigate to the Outlook menu.
    3. Uncheck the option for the New Outlook.
    4. Click the Revert button.
    5. Allow the application to revert to the Outlook Classic view.

Toggling out of the new Outlook for Windows preview - Microsoft Support

If the toggling option does not show, you can go to New outlook.

On top navigation bar select > Help > Go to classic Outlook.

If you toggled into the new Outlook for Windows preview from classic Outlook for Windows, every time you try to launch classic Outlook for Windows you'll be redirected to the new Outlook for Windows preview. You can go back to classic Outlook for Windows by selecting the toggle in the new Outlook for Windows app.

If you don't see a toggle in the new Outlook for Windows, troubleshoot with these steps:

    1. Launch classic Outlook for Windows from the Windows Start Menu, not the new Outlook (identified by the "New" tag).
    2. Open the Registry Editor by typing "Registry Editor" in the Start Menu search and selecting the app.
    3. Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preferences.
    4. Find and double-click on "UseNewOutlook" at the bottom of the list.
    5. Set the Value Data field to 0.
    6. Attempt to launch classic Outlook for Windows from the Windows Start Menu.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

I accidently switched my email to the new version!! I wish support would switch my email back to the classic email version!!! thank you!

I have this problem too! Everything takes so many more clicks than it did! Why change something that already works really well!

I asked our IT guys to change it back and they said they couldn't because they uninstalled Outlook and installed the new version.

I absolutely hate the new version. Is there nothing I can do??

I have exactly the same question. Today when I clicked 'Help' there is no option to go to classic Outlook. I rely on the classic outlook calendar, and this change means I have lost historical records of appointments etc and all future appointments for the next year!

How do I get it back??
