Hello,
my name is Igor and I have problem in new outlook app. Im using 3 emails in old app. 1 private and 2 work accounts. Everything is ok. But when i switched to new outlook i cant add second work email. There is error:
"This account is not supported in Outlook for Windows due to the license provided by your work or school. Try to login with another account or go to Outlook on the web"
Why? why it works in old but not in new version ? Its feature or bug ? I want to use app not web, and i need this email not another... I would like to use outlook but this is ridiculous and i consider move to another app...

HI Diane,

That's precisely why I completely bailed on the MS email clients. My MS 365 based email account with GoDaddy can't be added to the new outlook. Try Mailbird, it works flawlessly with a nice simple interface.
I also have the issue of not able to add another email account. I deleted my talktalk.net account, thinking it had a bug in it. to find it still works on my 365 outlook account without any problem. I tried to add another account to the new outlook, to find a new window appeared showing, "Discovering Accounts" and a blue spinning circle. I left this for well over an hour. When I came back to my PC, it was still displaying that same message.
I prefer Windows Mail to this nonsense. Why push new software if it's not working properly. And before anyone from Microsoft says ask your Admin for help I am my own admin, and I've not changed any permissions for any of my email accounts on this pc.
If you have a Microsoft 365 Personal or Family account like I do, but also have company and/or Go Daddy accounts, you have to sign out of office with any Microsoft 365 account from your company and sign in with your personal account. Then I was able to add the other accounts. If you don’t have a Family or Personal account, I don’t know what you do.
Dave,
There is a bug that is close to being fixed where users with IMAP accounts can't update their SMTP settings. A workaround you can try is the steps below. Using the option "remove from all devices" is required, we need to completely remove the account so that the settings for IMAP and SMTP are re-stamped properly.
