Why I cant add new email account in new outlook but in old it works?

Hello,

my name is Igor and I have problem in new outlook app. Im using 3 emails in old app. 1 private and 2 work accounts. Everything is ok. But when i switched to new outlook i cant add second work email. There is error:

"This account is not supported in Outlook for Windows due to the license provided by your work or school. Try to login with another account or go to Outlook on the web"

Why? why it works in old but not in new version ? Its feature or bug ? I want to use app not web, and i need this email not another... I would like to use outlook but this is ridiculous and i consider move to another app...

    This is not true. As admin of our email accounts I have NEVER applied a policy to block any version of Outlook. Why not just admit that it is an issue that Microsoft has to fix? I've read elsewhere that Microsoft is aware of the issue and that New Outlook is still in development.

    So, if I've never turned off access to new outlook, why can't we add E1 accounts to it? They've worked in every other version of Outlook except this one.

    The admin applies a policy to the mailbox on the server to block it. https://learn.microsoft.com/exchange/clients-and-mobile-in-exchange-online/outlook-on-the-web/enable-disable-employee-access-new-outlook#enable-or-disable-the-new-outlook-for-windows-for-an-individual-mailbox

    I have "Exchange Online (Plan 1)" I initially switched to the new outlook on my PC and all my accounts worked.

    Recently I have tried to switch to the new outlook on my laptop. All accounts except the "Exchange Online (Plan 1)" account work. I get the same error message as @Igor. So I don't think that it is related to policy.

    So it comes down to the fact that I will soon be unable to set up all general mailboxes? All our general mailboxes like info@ or sales@ are provided with an exchange online 1 or 2 licence. The reason for doing this is because shared mailboxes do not work as we would like.

    All users using the exhange online boxes have a full licence themselves.

    Hi, I have the same problem.

    I am an admin in my Exchange plan.

    I enabled access to the feature and verified the configuration:

    ❯ Set-CASMailbox -Identity email@***************** -OneWinNativeOutlookEnabled true  

❯ Get-CASMailbox -Identity email@***************** | Format-List Name,OneWinNativeOutlookEnabled 

Name                       : email 

OneWinNativeOutlookEnabled : True

    I still don't have access via the new Outlook app. It still shows the same error as mentioned above.

    I think this should be addressed. The new Outlook does not work with some Exchange accounts.
