Hello,

my name is Igor and I have problem in new outlook app. Im using 3 emails in old app. 1 private and 2 work accounts. Everything is ok. But when i switched to new outlook i cant add second work email. There is error:

"This account is not supported in Outlook for Windows due to the license provided by your work or school. Try to login with another account or go to Outlook on the web"

Why? why it works in old but not in new version ? Its feature or bug ? I want to use app not web, and i need this email not another... I would like to use outlook but this is ridiculous and i consider move to another app...

    Same problem here.

One account works perfectly, but other one says it is not supported.

IN old version of Outlook app, both of them works perfectly

    Still no fix?

I also resolved the situation by switching the toggle back to the the old mail app.

However, whenever I open the calendar, it switches back to the new app and many of my godaddy accounts stop working.

I get the feeling that the old Mail app is going to be phased out and we will be stuck with the new broken Outlook.

Can anyone recommend a 3rd party email app? I can't see the old mail app working for much longer.

    Thanks

This is typical for Microsoft and email. It's one step forward and two steps back. I have my three email accounts successfully set up on a Surface Book and a desktop. I tried to set up a surface pro and I received this error for my 365 account that is managed directly by GoDaddy. That account is working fine on the other computers. When I say working, I mean working as best as possible with the current iteration of Outlook for Windows. MS how about fixing what's broken before you start tweaking other stuff?

Yep, exactly the same thing happened to me.

I have a work account and a university account, Windows installed and activated the 'new and improved' Outlook app. It defaulted to my uni account and got rid of my work account, then threw up this error.

Pathetic. Here's a thought, don't release something that isn't ready to be released. Here's what I want, to have all my relevant accounts on my computer, not to get forced into a fresh install that screws it up.

I found the 'try the new outlook' toggle, switching it off, and it's now allowing me to have multiple email accounts active.

Don't release things that aren't ready to be released, don't push the update on people, we are not your beta testers.

Pure genius from Microsoft!! As is often the case, breaking more than they fix with each new iteration of the software.
