Why I cant add new email account in new outlook but in old it works?

Hello,

my name is Igor and I have problem in new outlook app. Im using 3 emails in old app. 1 private and 2 work accounts. Everything is ok. But when i switched to new outlook i cant add second work email. There is error:

"This account is not supported in Outlook for Windows due to the license provided by your work or school. Try to login with another account or go to Outlook on the web"

Why? why it works in old but not in new version ? Its feature or bug ? I want to use app not web, and i need this email not another... I would like to use outlook but this is ridiculous and i consider move to another app...

    Everyone -

    This was actually a conscious decision made by Microsoft. We're trying to get their attention to get this reversed.

    My colleagues and I have created a master record for this issue, in the system that Microsoft actually looks at for complaints of this type. The record is here: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/2f7925cb-3a80-ee11-a81c-000d3ae46fcb  . All of the issues surrounding this are document there, and we're gathering comments there as well. PLEASE consider taking a moment to visit that link, upvote that issue, and add your comments. This is the fastest and most correct way of getting this resolved. Thank you!

    Indeed, exchange online licenses are the ones that are affected.

    The diagnose of the problem is done.

    Where is Microsoft to solve this issue?

    So it comes down to the fact that I will soon be unable to set up all general mailboxes? All our general mailboxes like info@ or sales@ are provided with an exchange online 1 or 2 licence. The reason for doing this is because shared mailboxes do not work as we would like.

    All users using the exhange online boxes have a full licence themselves.

    The affected account is from a different organization than the one you can add? Admins can block the use of the new Outlook app.
