Hello,

my name is Igor and I have problem in new outlook app. Im using 3 emails in old app. 1 private and 2 work accounts. Everything is ok. But when i switched to new outlook i cant add second work email. There is error:

"This account is not supported in Outlook for Windows due to the license provided by your work or school. Try to login with another account or go to Outlook on the web"

Why? why it works in old but not in new version ? Its feature or bug ? I want to use app not web, and i need this email not another... I would like to use outlook but this is ridiculous and i consider move to another app...

I am also facing the same problem. All of the MS 365 accounts work on the classic outlook but they don't work on the new outlook.

Add me to the growing list saying: This is unacceptable and means that I will be telling my entire team to NOT switch to the new Outlook and potentially use entirely different providers.

I run a nonprofit, ALL VOLUNTEER organization. We have shared mailboxes because we require them to service our constituents. I was fascinated to see the entirely bogus talking point that it was due to an "admin setting" because, like many replying here, I AM the admin. I assure you I absolutely did NOT turn anything off.

If, as actually makes sense, the ACTUAL issue is that we have our shared mailboxes set up to be unlicensed (because everyone who has access to them is licensed and they're basically ghost emails ala "grants@email") this breaks a fundamental way of doing business within your platform. A way, I would add, that we have been told previously is the "right" way.

Microsoft needs to fix this issue STAT.

I'm trying to add @chartermi.net email to new outlook and I get the same error User name may be incorrect. Contact the administrator. I'm using Windows 11 and the old mail version works fine.
