Why I cant add new email account in new outlook but in old it works?

Hello,

my name is Igor and I have problem in new outlook app. Im using 3 emails in old app. 1 private and 2 work accounts. Everything is ok. But when i switched to new outlook i cant add second work email. There is error:

"This account is not supported in Outlook for Windows due to the license provided by your work or school. Try to login with another account or go to Outlook on the web"

Why? why it works in old but not in new version ? Its feature or bug ? I want to use app not web, and i need this email not another... I would like to use outlook but this is ridiculous and i consider move to another app...

    Yea, It's really weird. all my email addresses work on my desktop outlook and the windows mail, but the moment I switch over to the new "Window outlook", two of my email addresses no longer sink and I have no choice but the remove them from the new "window Outlook". The whole Idea of Outlook is to have a one stop shop. Now we are forced to toggle back and forth.

    Not really Edward. The same account and credentials work on my laptop in new Outlook, but now won't work on my.new computer. Nothing different, nothing has changed, I simply am told my account can't work with new Outlook, even though it does on a different machine.

    I've tried removing new Outlook from my laptop to see if it would work on my new one, and it does not.

    Good morning.

    So What I am gathering from your explanation is that there is really no issue on the side of "Microsoft Outlook", its really the Admin of the Company who chose to not have particular company emails to work with "Outlook for Windows". Did I get that right?

    I'm not sure of what is going on here, but I'll tell you what is happening with mine. I have two computers that the work address works fine in both the old and the new Outlook. I purchased a new computer and tried to install (add) this address on with the new Outlook and got this message

    "This account is not supported in Outlook for Windows due to the license provided by your work or school. Try to login with another account or go to Outlook on the web"

    I then installed (added) it on the old Outlook and it installed just fine and I then turned on the new switch and it gave me the same message again. To add to the confusion, of the two old computers, one is running windows 10 and the other windows 11 and the new one is windows 11.

    I sure hope someone can figure this out!
