I am having major issues in NEW Outlook with the formatting of my emails. I will compose an email, format it properly, and send it. The receiver gets an email with weird large spacing, no spaces where needed, and bullet alignments all messed up. It does not look that way when I send it why are the emails messed up when received? I am using HTML text which has all the issues. I have tried plain text but it does not allow formatting I need like bullets etc. I need this fixed as I can not go back to desktop Outlook as it freezes and crashes all the time. HELP PLEASE!

I was having huge problems too - found this thread and when I read this response, I saw that my Immersive Reader was also turned on. Turned it off and that fixed my formatting issues.
I don't even know how it got turned on though.

I am providing this info just in case they find the same cause of changed formatting in Outlook emails.
I had same issue. I sent an email from Outlook (desktop app) and then went to follow up on the email and saw that the font and formatting was all irregular and strange looking. Searched internet. Tried some things. Nothing worked.
After some poking around in Outlook and on the sent email, I found that somehow "Immersive Reader" was enabled on the email. This is found up in the menu bar of the email as the "Immersive" button.

(In this case, it was on my sent email found in my Sent folder).
I disabled "Immersive Reader" on the email and the format went back to normal.
No idea why it was enabled.
After disabling the "Immersive Reader" the font was still very small. I clicked on "Control" button and then used the scroll wheel on my mouse to check the font viewing size. It had been changed down to something like 20%. I kept holding "Control" button and used the scroll wheel on mouse to return it to 100%.
First I create the text for my Outlook emails on Word, then copy and paste into the email. Should not be necessary, but it works as long as one does not try something fancy.
