I tested and it worked for me.
Here is what I found after doing some research regarding this issue and this enabled the Spell check on my New Outlook.
The new Outlook desktop app no longer has a separate in-app spell check setting — it relies on your operating system or browser’s built-in tools.
The Change:
In New Outlook for Windows and Mac desktop app, Microsoft removed the built-in spell checker setting because it now relies entirely on the operating system’s spellcheck services.
I don't have an "editor" button at ALL! Also, why on earth was the decision made to get rid of a simple GD TAB that makes proofing emails easier? Does Microsoft really have less brainpower than your average middle school student? FIX THIS!!! I shouldn't have to jump through hoops and lies from this company for the THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS that are paid for licenses when the product is clearly not up to par.
this is literally the dumbest change I have ever seen in a Microsoft product, you took something that was working fine for decades and made it so no one can figure out how to use it!
Even with all of the settings changed, it requires going through the email and clicking on each word to suggest changes instead of just running a single full spell check on the entire document before sending which was an automatic process, now I have to re-train myself to manually check each email before sending it.
Aren't we supposed to be eliminating manual processes, not creating more manual processes!
