To get spell check, you need to change the email to the pop out view. To do this access settings (View-Mail-Compose and reply-Pop-out settings). Then change from write inline to pop-out to a new window. This is the only way to get spell check in new outlook.

    I got it to work!

open outlook, go to view settings (under view header at top next to home)

    click General

    Click privacy and data

Scroll down to privacy Settings, click

Scroll down and turn on experiences that analyze your content at the bottom of page, DO NOT click the very bottom one unless you want that too.

    click close.

Recheck an email with the spell check, word should show up in red shade. I got lucky with the General heading.

I have followed instructions to change privacy and editor settings. My editor does not show options for Spelling and Grammar. My only options are: Editor/Customize your Editor: Text predictions, Enable auto correct. Spell & Grammar checker are not working. I have a notice "Failed to load Editor Settings". What should I do?

    Kenneth,

The only way I have been able to semi-successfully use spell check is to pop all reply's out of the reading pane. Then it at least the misspelled works are underlined in red and I can right click to correct them. Otherwise nothing else works. That worked for me too! Thanks! Frustrating that we have to do this.

Wouldn't it be great if Microsoft actually understood and read our response and gave thoughtful and correct feedback?

    100% agree!!

In case anyone here is in government (GCC license), Editor isn't available yet:

Microsoft Editor is not available in new Outlook for GCC tenants
