Please check my post from 5/8/2025

I tested and it worked for me.

    • On Windows, spell check is controlled by Windows Typing Settings.
    • On Mac, it’s controlled by the macOS system preferences.
    • And in Outlook on the Web (Outlook.com / Office 365), spellcheck depends on your browser’s built-in spellcheck. How to enable spell check on Windows (for New Outlook desktop app):
    1. Go to Settings > Time & Language > Typing.
    2. Make sure Autocorrect misspelled words and Highlight misspelled words are toggled On.
    3. Restart Outlook.
    4. Restart Windows (sometimes need 2x)
    5. Test.

Here is what I found after doing some research regarding this issue and this enabled the Spell check on my New Outlook.

The new Outlook desktop app no longer has a separate in-app spell check setting — it relies on your operating system or browser’s built-in tools.

    The Change:

In New Outlook for Windows and Mac desktop app, Microsoft removed the built-in spell checker setting because it now relies entirely on the operating system’s spellcheck services.

    4. Restart Windows (sometimes need 2x).
    5. Test.

I don't have an "editor" button at ALL! Also, why on earth was the decision made to get rid of a simple GD TAB that makes proofing emails easier? Does Microsoft really have less brainpower than your average middle school student? FIX THIS!!! I shouldn't have to jump through hoops and lies from this company for the THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS that are paid for licenses when the product is clearly not up to par.

Thank You!!! Being a "tech" person since 1982, and having always taken pride in my ability to harness the power of software... this one leaves me speechless.
