Why am I suddenly receiving spam calendar invitations/appointments in Outlook (Microsoft 365 Family).

I already migrated my important correspondence to Gmail. It has granular control that I appreciate, with the rules inbox and inspam. I have FULL CONTROL and have ZERO spams. Microsoft products are unreliable in so many levels!

It does not work, I tried them all. I had to remove the outlook app from my iphone in order to get the needless spam to stop. Not sure why microsoft doesn't have a report spam option on the actual invite , at this point I am no longer using the calendar due to this issue. Also wondering why the competitors are not having this problem. Thank you for trying to help.

Yeah, unfortunately I use Calendar daily to keep track of appointments. These things are a real nuisance! I wish they would give us the option to opt out of external invitations just getting out on our calendar from non-contacts, and the ability to delete them without “declining” them, which just reinforces the behavior. And, I don’t have the slightest interest in switching to a Gmail product.

If you don’t need the problematic Outlook calendar that is giving you spam on your iPhone or iPad (or I assume other devices), I did the following:

IPhone Settings/ Calendar/ Accounts/ Outlook (or Hotmail) and then toggled off ‘Calendars’. Problem solved. Just be sure you don’t need or use the Outlook’s calendar feature before doing this. I tried all the suggestions that I found in a Google search and nothing else worked. This did.

Can't you use the approach I used on my PC? Uninstall the Microsoft Calendar from your phone and use GMail's calendar instead.

There's NO justification for Microsoft allowing push events being placed on our calendars without intentionally subscribing to an external source.
