I am suddenly receiving spam calendar invitations/appointments in Outlook (Microsoft 365 Family).  Disappointing that Microsoft has not addressed this.  My McAfee virus scan is also giving me the "No Viruses" when I scan.

Thanks! I will try this for the next spam appt that randomly appears on my calendar.

If you like trying to solve problems... any idea how to actually BLOCK some of the hundreds of spam emails that are coming in daily? I had lots of rules to block them. I'm talking 943 rules to block them! Other rules to approve my most regular emails. Ran out of allotted space to make more rules! That didn't work.

I've tried blocking what I think a few of the IP address are. That didn't stop them. I've tried to block them by reporting them, by making rules for various keywords in the phishing / spam emails, sent several emails to tech support, no responses.

I've deleted hundreds of the rules I and set up some new rules. At least now 80% of my wanted emails are going to my inbox. I still have to search the other folders to make sure I don't miss something important.

I REALLY hate having to spend hours per day searching through my Junk and Deleted folders looking for email that should not have been sent there in the first place. It is very frustrating. I have been doing this for 9 weeks now, I start to zone out as I search those folders, thinking about how angry I am about the lack help from MS, that I realize, I'm not actually paying attention to the emails that I am looking at, and have to start over in the folder. Ugh.

Others have been complaining about the random influx of massive amounts of phishing and spam emails for over 2 years! But still there is not a solid solution to actually block these emails. I don't want them in my junk or deleted folder. I don't want them in any folder of my email. Apparently "Block" means something very different to me than it does to Microsoft. What's up with that???????

I agree with them dropping off in frequency. In fact last week 2 calendar appointments were in my junk mail, but did not appear on my calendar anywhere. I am thinking and hoping MS is giving this attention and blocking them at the server level.
    Its an improvement recently.

commander02 If you ever figure out how to do it from the calendar or an iPhone, please share your answer. Microsoft doesn't seem to think this is important enough to post a detailed response how to stop the spam appointments.

3 months and counting for a solution...

You can delete a bogus calendar invite by clicking on the first day of the series. You should be able to Delete or Cut it and all of the days in the invite will go away. If you are on iPhone Calendar, from the Calendar view, long tap the first day and a toolbar will pop up and you can click Cut.

I played around with email Rules, but none of my bogus invites are from the same person. They do all seem to start with punctuation of some sort, but I don't know how to set up a rule to do that.

I was getting them pretty hot and heavy for a while. From November 2023 through maybe the end of the year. They have tapered way off now, so there may be some hope.

    Good luck!
