Thanks Donald, however that solution sorts all Outlook folders in A-Z, however the question posed relates to sub-folders within an Outlook folder.

Late to the game because I've put off switching to the new Outlook but if anyone still comes across this issue, Click View> Folder pane> Sort folders> Order folders A to Z. It might take a moment but it will solve the issue. (This did work to sort ALL folders including subs.)

Thanks TBeckyWI - that does indeed sort ALL the folders, including sub folders A-Z. But now my Inbox is way down the order as is my Sent folder and the ability to move these folders is no longer available (like it is in Custom sorting).

Hi! If you go to the tap "view" right next to "Mail", then click on "Folder pane" then the third option "Sort folders" you can choose: A to Z or Custom folder order.

In the NEW OUTLOOK version, how do I get my subfolders to sort in the order of my choosing? When I switched to the new outlook, it sorted my subfolders in alphabetical order and I do not want them in that order. But when I tried to move them in the order that I need, there is no option to move them around within the parent folder it is currently in. I had tried the right click option from above, and there isn't even any sort of sorting options what so ever now.
