My company uses new Outlook 365. No option "Sort subfolders A-Z" appears when I right-click the parent folder.

    Thanks Steve,

My sub folders are for clients, therefore the suggestion doesn't work.

That said, when I accessed my 2025 folder in new Outlook this morning, it suddenly appears to be in alpha order.

All very mysterious however perhaps the solution is to revert to old Outlook, re-sort sub folders A-Z, reboot or wait overnight, and return to new Outlook which will have replicated the folder structure from old Outlook.

Right click on sub folders to sub sort used to work but it hasn't done for several months when the option disappeared.

    Hi Squarefirejack,

Would the path to the subfolder you want to restrict the A-Z sort would be username@microsoft.com > 20205 > subfolder 1, subfolder 2, etc or Inbox > 2025 > subfolder 1, subfolder 2, etc? I am not sure it would matter from a solution perspective, just curious as I am comparing to how I have my folders configured.

Have you used the Feedback feature in Outlook (new or old)? Your feedback will go directly to the product team. If you have not left feedback yet, I would highly recommend adding your feedback as "Make a suggestion".

    Steve
