Hi! I just figured this out right now and wanted to share it with all of you as I was frustrated to say the least. Open your Outlook and at the top click on View next to Home. Once that opens there is an option called Folder pane. When you click on that it will give you a list, click on Sort Folders then click Order folders A to Z.

    BLESS YOU! I was pissed......

It's just a workaround, but if you close Outlook app and re-open, it sorts them A-Z automatically.

Also, to order them how I want, I have to put letters in front of the folder name ( numbers only work if 0-9, then all the decimals are added first if you have more than 10 folders)

MSFT you should look into this usability feature!!

It is truly incredible how many quality of life actions are now completely impossible in the "NEW" outlook. It's a horrendous piece of software and it's hard to believe that a company this big could be so off-base with product updates. Even Microsoft shouldn't be this bad!!
