If you've moved folders around, but want to return them to alphabetical order, go to View and select Folder pane > Order folders A to Z. Tip: To return to your custom order, re-select Custom folder order from the Folder pane dropdown.

    Hi, Priya2024

    Good day!

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist you.

According to your description, to sort your subfolders in alphabetical order in the new Outlook for Windows, would you like to try following steps and see if it can make any differences:

    1. Open Outlook and go to your mailbox folder list.
    2. Right-click on the parent folder that contains the subfolders you want to sort.
    3. Select "Sort Subfolders A-Z" from the context menu.
    4. Your subfolders will now be sorted in alphabetical order.

If you want to sort them in reverse alphabetical order, you can select "Sort Subfolders Z-A" instead.

Thanks for your attempts and looking forward to your new updates.

    Hope you all the best!

I don't have "sort subfolders". All new folders are being added at the top, above "inbox". Not only that, but if I search for them by name, they do not show up.
