Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
I am fedup by scorrling to search, do we have the solution now?
I am trying the New Outlook. I cant sort my inbox by typing a letter - am I missing a setting?

I am trying the New Outlook. I used to be able to sort my inbox by column (FROM) and then type in a letter and quickly get to all emails from people starting with that letter. For me that was a quick way to navigate my emails. It does not seem to work like that now. Is there a setting that I am missing or did Microsoft take that out in the new version? I understand that the search bar can be used and filters can be used, but I want the one letter search functionality that I have been using.

After thorough research and consultations, it has been concluded that the feature you are inquiring about is not yet available in the new Outlook. However, thank you so much for bringing this to our attention, your suggestion is constructive and I believe it could make the use of Outlook even better. We will surely raise your concerns with our Product Development Team and hopefully, this can be included in future updates. Please note new Outlook is still in active development, right now fourteen features are in development and seven more have started to be rolled out. 2024-06-13T04:50:33+00:00 I was just updated at work to Window's 11 and new Outlook. In first 5 mins I go to sort for emails from a person - and it doesn't sort. I used this 100 of times a day. It seems strange this functionality has been missed in the NEW Outlook - but even stranger it hasn't been fixed by now.
Is there a date when it will be fixed.
I'll try and revert to "OLD" Outlook while I wait......
