How do I add a background picture to the "Modern" theme in the new outlook that replaces the older mail app?

In the old Mail app I was able to add a custom background image. Since that app is going away I now have to use this version. the "modern" theme has a picture of a snow covered landscape. The options are that or nothing. There is no way to change the picture or add a picture of my choosing, even though the description says "Modern themes allow you to add a background image for further customization". How do I change this image, or add an image of my own?

    The "Moder Theme" It literally states you can add a background image. It does not provide further instructions on how to do so.

    fix this already. this is ridiculous.

    Same here. This has been available since like last year and never works. No way to set a custom background as it states.

    Just found out about this feature and it sucks to see how long it has been going on from the first post here.

    It shows they obviously never had a plan to actually do it from the beginning or either they have some lazy **** e r s working there that cant complete something this simple..

    No, you are not only one, but Microsoft does it best to keep all complaints silent.

    It is crazy that they offer customization, and then there is no customization at all.

    Also, accounts grouping options from Mail app was fantastic, and they did not even try to add it to outlook? I mean... come on, 2024, and they offer no unified inbox on mail app? Unbeleiveable.
