How do I add a background picture to the "Modern" theme in the new outlook that replaces the older mail app?

In the old Mail app I was able to add a custom background image. Since that app is going away I now have to use this version. the "modern" theme has a picture of a snow covered landscape. The options are that or nothing. There is no way to change the picture or add a picture of my choosing, even though the description says "Modern themes allow you to add a background image for further customization". How do I change this image, or add an image of my own?

    I have switched to the new outlook and am gobsmacked when I read that this problem has been going on for a very long time. Come on Microsoft it is a very simple feature that a large number of people including myself want.

    Remember that Microsoft does not monitor these threads. If you would like to get your request to Microsoft, submit feedback for the new Outlook. Help Tab > Feedback. I see they have added a few more lame options for images but still do not allow you to upload your own. The more people who submit this as feedback, the more likely it will get addressed. Let's spam their feedback with this! If all 246 of you with "the same question" do this, it may actually have an impact. This page has also been viewed almost 9000 times. If everyone who sees this does the same, it can't be ignored forever.
