How do I add a background picture to the "Modern" theme in the new outlook that replaces the older mail app?

In the old Mail app I was able to add a custom background image. Since that app is going away I now have to use this version. the "modern" theme has a picture of a snow covered landscape. The options are that or nothing. There is no way to change the picture or add a picture of my choosing, even though the description says "Modern themes allow you to add a background image for further customization". How do I change this image, or add an image of my own?

Similarly to how you need to pay for a microsoft subscription to remove the ads at the top of your emails, they'll probably hide this feature of custom backgrounds pictures behind a paywall too... On top of being forced to swap to the newer version whenever you go back to the Mail app making it very inconvenient to use. The modern outlook is literally inferior to its predecessor Mail. Corrupt

So this program with advertisements built in to LOOK LIKE EMAILS, also has LESS features than the previous program we were forced to say goodbye to?!? How utterly disgusting. Time to find a new email program.
