I want my normal hotmail.com login, which i have been using for years. All of a sudden you decide without any option to force a Microsoft Account with Billing?

Why? You are causing me problems, I am not getting my emails, you have messed up access to my emails, no consideration for older people, you should be helping more to allow using the same format to access our emails.

    Hi Barbara

    Have you read my reply to Alfred? If not, I told him I have an Iphone that has no problem with Hotmail, it's just Outlook. I now forward them to my Gmail account, which Outlook can recognise. Outlook are for some reason trying to prevent people using Hotmail accounts, either that or they have not bothered to / cannot rectify, the problem they have with Hotmail emails. It's a shame that such a big tech company cannot manage to help all its customers.

    I did not have my hotmail on my phone. And I am not receiving any e mails when I try to change things over. Very frustrating!!

    I totally agree!

    Why are not Outlook trying to solve this problem? We surely cannot be the only people left stranded with their silence and their refusal to solve this problem.

    Just to say that you should delete/edit your message because it contains too much personal information (full name. year of birth and is that a phone number?). There are unscrupulous people out there that could exploit this and your vulnerable situation.

    There ARE some paid subscription options, like for business accounts, but basic personal email is still free. You either thought you had to start paying for your account and accidentally bought a subscription, OR you've been scammed.

    If you've had your account for years and years, and haven't deleted enough emails, it's also possible that you've used up all your free storage space. In that case you'd have started getting alerts when signed into your account, specifically about running out of storage, with offers to purchase more.

    If you didn't sign up for your paid account via the Microsoft website (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/outlook/outlook-personal-email-plans), you have been scammed. You can contact your bank and cancel payments, and they can help you with a fraud report.

    If you DID sign up through the Microsoft website, you can cancel it!
