Appointments/Events have vanished from my Outlook calendar

HI Vicky - You are NOT alone! This happens ALL THE TIME. I add items, they stay for a few hours, and suddenly vanish. It only happens when I add them myself, and especially when I make them recurring or add an e-mail or Zoom link to them. I have wasted so many hours because of this!!!!

I work at a University and our Executive office has this happen with various events randomly. We've been dealing with it for at least 7 months now and none of the fixes we've tried have worked. I'm convinced this is something on Microsoft's side of things and it's extremely frustrating. I can't keep telling the President of the University that we have no way to fix this.

The only solution I have found is a "do it yourself" one. I run caldav synchronizer on my wife's computer and have it go one way to a gmail calendar. That way I have a backup, and if (when) they disappear again, I can go to the Google account, un-delete all of the events, (since they will have been deleted by the synchronizer), then export the Google calendar and import it into Microsoft Outlook. This is a royal PIA (Pain In The ....) but it does work. A side benefit is that I can publish the Google version so that I see her calendar on our phones and my computer, even if I can't modify it. I've used CalDav Synchronizer for several years with success.

I refuse to use Google mail or anything I can "attempt" to avoid, as we're being so horrifically controlled these days "Google," so this won't be a fix for me, but thank you for sharing. I've been losing my mind, and appointments, since January 9, 2025. Outlooklive.com (which suddenly became Outlooklive.com vs. Outlook.com) on the same day I was forced to stop using the tried and true, we have total control over, perfectly working older Email & Calendar App - which I ONLY used for the calendar, because it was that great - and the same day my PAID FOR Outlook 365 calendar suddenly wouldn't and still won't behave or play nice, while the new Outlook App (calendar only) was forced on me and countless decades worth of reminders and appointments were missing and still are.

This is absolutely on MS - I've reported this via the app and my paid for office 365 calendar innumerable times each WEEK since that day through to today... and NO ONE in MS has contacted me or been able to resolve this. Shame on MS, this is 100% on them.

It's disgraceful, it sincerely is. I've been losing my mind, and appointments, since January 9, 2025. Outlooklive.com (which suddenly became Outlooklive.com vs. Outlook.com) on the same day I was forced to stop using the tried and true, we have total control over, perfectly working older Email & Calendar App - which I ONLY used for the calendar because it was that great - and the same day my PAID FOR Office/Outlook 365 calendar suddenly wouldn't and still won't behave or play nice, while the new Outlook App (calendar only) was forced on me and the change from Outlook.com to Outlook.live.com caused immense damage, with countless decades worth of reminders and appointments missing in all 3, thus impacting my phone calendar (Outlook.com now Outlooklive.com, Outlook 365 and the new Outlook App - all just the Calendar - I don't use any of them for anything other than the calendar, and how this impacted my phone's calendar are all still malfunctioning and so much is lost or missing to this day, now over 6 months later.

This is absolutely on MS - I've reported this via the app and my paid for office 365 calendar innumerable times each WEEK since 1/925 through to today... and NO ONE in MS has contacted me other than via the in app or in program chat feature, and none of them have been able to resolve this. Shame on MS, this is 100% on them.
