I'm not able to add my work 365 basic account in this new Outlook anymore. I get this error: "This account is not supported in Outlook for Windows due to the license provided by your work or school. Try to login with another account or go to Outlook on the web."

This is ridiculous that I'm able to add my personal Gmail, my personal Outlook email, but can't add my work account which my company pays money for. Now you want to charge us more by upgrading from basic to standard to able to use your new Outlook I see. I also noticed ads right in my Inbox in this new Outlook. Seriously? Ads too now? Well, it seems like you're very desperate lately dear Microsoft and using such enforcing brute tactics on us - users won't do good for you. It will have opposite effect in fact: Now I will tell my IT boss to switch to Google instead. And guess what? I won't be the only one doing this. You know what's your problem, Microsoft? You never listen and you never care about us. You just do what you want to do and it's all about squizzing money out of us while giving us worst products compared to other companies.

P.S. By the way, your new Outlook sucks and everything you give us lately sucks too.

    I'm not certain anymore if its only Microsoft who is being the greedy one here. I just received notification from GoDaddy that my email (which HAS to be linked to a 365 outlook account to function, even though i already subscribe to microsoft office) is increasing in price as of next month. The increase is about 15%.

    I'm getting the feeling that GoDaddy is a part of the problem, with microsoft having their fingers in BOTH pies! It is starting to sound like the only answer is to find a new host for my domain and possibly a different email platform

    I’ve had both my emails working in outlook for 1 year! Then all of a sudden my second email gets booted off and now it can’t be added back on. It was working in the morning, then hours later it’s gone and can’t be readded. So it has nothing to do with licensing because it was working before. I need a solution to fix this because it’s a work email and I need it to show up with the other work email.

    Microsoft always has been greedy compared to other companies, but yeah, lately they reached other level of greediness. But remember people - the only way to fight their greediness is to NOT subscribe to their more expensive package. This is what they expecting from you, so they can get more money from you, but if majority of us won't do this, then their business will go down instead of rising and eventually they will give up on their current greedy plan. This is the only way to fight this. Again, DO NOT subscribe and DO NOT pay more for their service!

    I got here after upgrading to the 'new Outlook' and receiving the following error for two out of 3 email accounts: "This account is not supported in Outlook for Windows due to license provided by your work or school. Try to login with another account or would you like to remove it?".

    I pay for Office 365 Family which includes the Office Desktop apps and I use it for an @outlook.com account, another personal mailbox with a custom .name domain, and my business mailbox (freelancer). For my custom .name domain and my business mailbox I pay for Exchange Online (Plan 1) that costs me 4,44 EUR/month/account. Are you really telling me that I have now to pay to upgrade to Exchange Online (Plan 2) for these two accounts which will cost me 9,00 EUR/month/account just to be able to use it with the Outlook desktop app?

    Since when has Microsoft become so greedy?

    They have ALWAYS been this greedy.
    Push everyone to subscription, then scr3w them until they squeal!
