Friends.
Can anyone tell me when to use the Outlook in Microsoft 365 and when to use the new Outlook desktop app.
I have both installed on my computers - which I suppose is unnecessary. But I don't understand the difference?
Appreciate if someone can explain this!

Was the question really answered for Gardis_SE? He asked about the difference between Outlook in Microsoft 365 and the new Outlook (replacement for the Windows 10 / 11 Mail), not **** the difference between Outlook in Microsoft 365 and **** the classic Microsoft Office Outlook.
I have successful access to my yahoo email with "new Outlook." I have worked many days and cannot get my yahoo email to work within Outlook Microsoft 365. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Forgive any stupidity, but what remains unclear to me from exchanges to date is this: I use Outlook '365' as part of an Office 365 sub'n. If I click on 'Try the New Outlook', will it benefit me with some shortcuts and functionality currently not available to me?
Or will it take me out of (sub'd) Outlook 365 and dump me in the Free Web version, open to all, requiring me to reload Outlook 365 (sub'n), due to lack of certain functionality not available in the Free version and which I enjoy?
Or is it recommended to ignore? And if so, why not strip the invitation from paid Outlook 365 (Office) subscribers?

Si hago clic en 'Probar el nuevo Outlook', ¿me beneficiará con algunos accesos directos y funcionalidades que actualmente no están disponibles para mí?
¿O me sacará de Outlook 365 y me dejará en la versión web gratuita, abierta a todos, lo que me obligará a volver a cargar Outlook 365 (sub'n), debido a la falta de ciertas funciones que no están disponibles en la versión gratuita y que disfruto?

I have exactly the same doubt as "Rocassa45".
I'm a very basic user who hasn't understood anything from the comments above the one mentioned. I currently pay for the Microsoft 365 subscription and in My Computer, I have 2 Outlook app: Which one do I use and which do I delete?
And I also find it confusing that from one the other is recommended to me.
Not to mention that a few months ago I think I had the same problem/doubt and almost certainly 95% uninstall at least one app. But I have two again.
IF "New Outlook" Is Replacing the free Windows Mail App. Then Why Does my Paid outlook have a radio button to switch to "New Outlook" Is this a different "New Outlooks" and why would MS push people away from an app they are paying for in lieu of a free app that lacks features present in the paid one. This has to be branding in the most confusing way possible and I want to know is there 2 separate New Outlooks or no, and if no can we remove the radio button to switch since this is creating support nightmares already. Thank you.
