How do I enable copy and paste in the new outlook? I am not able to directly copy any documents from Explorer and then go to the email that I am working on to paste onto the emial.

I used to be able to click and drag an email to a Personal folder (computer or external storage device) in one simple move but no longer able to do so. Every time that I try, without success, it will freeze Outlook requiring a restart of the computer.

I was not provided a warning prior to "New Office" being installed along with my previous version being deleted from my computer.

I have a yearly contract with Microsoft and would have expected that a New Office would be a better version than the previous. not the opposite.

Seems evident that your engineers/programmers never have to actually used the product in a real-world environment.

If I am missing something and there is a way of accomplishing this task, please advise and I will apologize for my negative reply.

My disappointment is that Microsoft has not responded to any of our concerns. I would never have posted in the first place. I thought this was to get answers from Microsoft support but it is just a way of posting all of our frustrations. I'm just not using “New” Outlook anymore. Microsoft must know that it is a tremendous disappointment because they do not respond to anything. I know why all my friends are going to Apple.

The new outlook is horrible! I hate it... I have to use it at work constantly and it is making my job so difficult now... Not only can I not copy and paste from one e-mail to another to save typing time, but I can't copy and paste anything into my e-mails. The new organization category/flag system is awful as well! It was so much better and easier to use before. Also, if you want to use the "Read Receipt", you now have to scroll over to click it instead of it being conveniently located in the old version. It is also putting e-mails in my junk folder over and over again even though I have told it not to a million times already in many different ways (move to inbox, the not junk feature, always accept, etc.). The suggestions of spelling & grammar fixes are not working correctly either. It used to always give you the "Add to Dictionary' option and it isn't doing that all the time now.

I can't believe that whoever designed this was trying to make people's work lives better. It's completely ridiculous and frustrating. If my supervisor is ok with it, I am going to go back to the old version.

It has nothing to do with Microsoft 365 because we all just got 365 a few weeks back and we have the same issues, so I feel the new Microsoft 365 may be the culprit.

In the latest builds I am seeing the option to drag and drop into email. Another way that works for me currently is to select the files I want, and right click and click Copy OR click Ctrl + C for copy and then put the cursor in the email and click Ctrl + V for paste.

The New Outlook Team is working as fast as they can to add new features and it is getting better every day. If there is anything missing that is critical to you, please submit Help, Feedback. This will help the team prioritize the work items.

If you want to be able to use Classic Outlook with New Outlook you can run both at the same time. I am trying to keep up with New Outlook as best I can so I run both the clients in my day-to-day work. If you had to revert back to Classic Outlook, you can always install New Outlook and run it side by side by installing from here, Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Apps.
