How do I enable copy and paste in the new outlook? I am not able to directly copy any documents from Explorer and then go to the email that I am working on to paste onto the emial.

Hi Don! My name is David and I’m here to help. I understand that you're having trouble with copy and paste in the new Outlook. It can be frustrating when you're unable to directly copy documents from Explorer and paste them into your email. In the old Outlook, it was much easier for you to do this. In the new Outlook, the process is slightly different. Rather than directly copying and pasting from Explorer, you can use the "paper clip" icon above the email composition window to attach the file you want to send. I know it can be time-consuming to search through Explorer to find the exact document you want to copy and paste, especially if you have a lot of files. If you prefer to do it the old Outlook way or in the "Classic" format, I'm afraid that's not currently possible in the new Outlook. No - it's impossible.

I agree with all that long for the copy and paste function. I hate upgrades as they kill my time and generally, I can't find anything for days if not longer Than you find out that certain things like copy/cut and paste no longer are available. Why update if you take useful things away? I can attach but it takes longer in many situations rather than the copy & paste. Right now, my work around rig job is I have the old Outlook 10 still pinned to my lower task bar which shows the old classic version. It seems to have some 365 upgrades but retains all the things the new one does not have. In fact, when you open it. There is a little label that says 365. It has a toggle in the upper right to switch to the new version if you want. My upper task bar has the new 365 Outlook. So, I now have two Outlooks open. I don't like having them both open but when I need cut and paste, I go to it. It would still be easier to have only one open but for now this is what I do. So, you could use the old version and switch over to the old version to copy and paste. but it's still more steps. I have to slowly train my mind to do all this extra stuff every time mighty MSFT changes things. I would not have upgraded other than it was my company's idea to go to the cloud. My personal computer still has outlook 10.

I totally agree, not being able to cut from a Microsoft Word document and paste into a Microsoft Outlook email is very frustrating and reduces productivity. If we needed to attach an entire document we would, the point is, we need to be able to cut certain parts of a document for quick review in an email to avoid reading an entire document. Hope this feature is restored.
