How do I enable copy and paste in the new outlook?

I am not able to directly copy any documents from Explorer and then go to the email that I am working on to paste onto the emial. Before with the Old Outlook I was able to to do this easily but the New Outlook requires me to go to the "paper clip" Icon above then search thru the Explorer to find the file then the specific documents(which couple be hundred documents); this process takes sometime 5 miniuets to find the exact document to copy and paste. I need to do it the Old Outlook ways or "Classic" format so that I can do just the cut and paste as mentioned earlier of this email. Pleas advise ASAP thanks.

Don Huang1 has hit the nail on the head. Progress is supposed to be positive, to help people by making life easier, quicker and/or cheaper, NOT to overcomplicate things as Microsoft Updates frequently does. Life was so much easier with the old Outlook. Plus, I can't understand WHY I'm having to clean MS Edge on CCleaner when I don't use Edge - it's a bloody nuisance! I didn't ask for it, I don't use it and don't want it. Windows 7 was the last good MS product, which I really knew my way around and often advised others on. More often than not MS Updates cause more problems than they solve.

    SOLUTION!!!!!!!!!

Go go the New Outlook and create a new email. Switch to HTML from Plain Text to be able to paste any picture, If you have it PLAIN TEXT IT WONT let you copy and paste.

The first time you switch it it as you to accept the following" If you switch to Plain text, all formatting and online images in this message will be removed. Do you want to continue" .

You can switch back and fort if needed. Remember is you accept the change it will replicate to all.

You may be trying to be helpful, but this is not at all helpful. I don't want New Outlook, I don't want Edge and I don't want all this over-complicated nonsense wasting my time, when it was previously so easy. Progress is supposed to make life easier, simpler, quicker, whereas Microsoft engineers think, "How can we make life more difficult for customers?"

The new outlook is trash and they need to make it work as easy as it use to be. I am so disappointed in Microsoft to let this come out. I hope everyone stops using it so Microsoft will do something to fix it. If people stop using their service they will do something to fix it.

I so totally agree!! And then the nerve to ask us to pay for Word and PowerPoint, et al. And now they're saying it's an annual cost??? Thank goodness for google. The only reason I keep my hotmail account is because I've had it for over 20 years and it's the email address everyone has for me.
