how do I add a note to an email using outlook

What version of Outlook do you use?

I use "Outlook (new)" and there the subject section is NOT editable.

If you would like to be able to quickly view in a column the Flag To field text that you entered you can use the following steps. I like to see things at a glance so this columns has helped me better prioritize my custom Search Folders that I have set and hope this will help others.

1. Within the folder where you have the message saved/filed/etc. right click and select View Settings
2. Select Columns
3. Select Available Columns From > All Mail Fields
4. Scroll down and select Follow Up Flag and Add to your columns
5. Place the column to your preference of order
6. Select Ok and Ok to close the settings window

If you would like to be able to quickly view the due date that you set on the Flag you can use the following steps.

2. Select Columns

This is again the solution for old Outlook, the desktop one. I am looking for a solution for the "Outlook New" that is replacing the old one.

Here here, re the "yellow sticky note" feature request. It could be an intuitive feature, right click within the email message and in the menu that shows, one option would be to add a sticky note. I would not care about having the notes accessible elsewhere (like in a notes folder), just so long as the note is stuck to the email message.
