New Outlook Layout - How do I add more columns (Size of Mail) to the inbox?

I am now using Outlook for Mac, version 16.79.3 (23120117) and am extremely surprised by the new layout, which is missing various information / settings.

For example, how do I add additional columns (such as Size of Mail) to the Inbox?

I also wanted to switch back to the old version. -> Legacy Outlook. But after the switch I have to enter all email accounts again. However, when entering the account under IMAP, the "Next" button is highlighted in light grey and cannot be pressed. Email accounts can therefore not be entered.

Exactly same issue as many users on this forum.

    Moved to new Outlook:

    1. Cannot add columns anymore to see the size of email.
    2. Cannot add columns to see attachments
    3. No way to quickly select categories with a column view. Now for every email, i have to right click, go to categorize and then select the category i want, This really slows me down

    Very dissapointed

I agree. I use categories extensively. The categories now appear within the subject! So unless they put it back as a separate column, it will not be possible to sort my emails by category, which I need to do.

I am also extremely disappointed and simply cannot understand why MS would remove functionality that we have come to use and depend on.

Hi, in my new version of Outlook, the attachment is automatically showing up beside the name of the sender. However, like others here, I cannot add the "To" or "Folder" to the view settings. It is simply not an option.

This is EXTREMELY frustrating when you need to monitor multiple email accounts at once and need to see what account something is being sent to. Scanning the Inbox of All Accounts is much more efficient. Now, one is forced into the inboxes of each individual account, adding clicks and wasting time.

I was just forced out of the new Outlook (everything stopped working and I could no longer add my account back). I am so frustrated by the arbitrary change by Microsoft. Yet again, the Microsoft Mac products are inferior. I do not have time to waste trying to figure out how to make the software do something so basic.

Exactly I use the categories all the time and I also add a note column so I can make a note against the email example what date to pay or if waiting for a particular person to reply.

New outlook looks pretty but pretty useless. Only thing is was good for was I found a heap of lost gmail emails.

Same here, old outlook isn't syncing anymore and only the new version works. It feels like going from an advanced app that enables you back to 'windows live mail for dummies'. Not being able to manage the columns and the fonts of the view (senders are in a huge font compared to others) makes this a big no-no.
