New Outlook Layout - How do I add more columns (Size of Mail) to the inbox?

I am now using Outlook for Mac, version 16.79.3 (23120117) and am extremely surprised by the new layout, which is missing various information / settings.

For example, how do I add additional columns (such as Size of Mail) to the Inbox?

I also wanted to switch back to the old version. -> Legacy Outlook. But after the switch I have to enter all email accounts again. However, when entering the account under IMAP, the "Next" button is highlighted in light grey and cannot be pressed. Email accounts can therefore not be entered.

    I have 365 but i think I might be using the Outlook app, not the web version - I am not technically advanced. But I have solved this problem for me at least. When I go to the View Tab then choose View Settings then Other Settings then choose "Use compact layer widths ..." "smaller than 100 characters", all the headings i want can be included. Hope this helps your situation.

    I don't know why Microsoft chooses sometimes to remove features to shaft the more advanced ones.

    The specific ask from the user is to add column to their view in new outlook. Many people have stated this is not longer possible. Please bring it back.

    On Android, i love nine mail.. But I have not found good.Alternative on the PC.

    I tried a few and the most versatile is Thunderbird and BlueMail.

    Once you set it up, its great. I use SMTP, and I set to not download or keep local copies of emails so that emails are kept in the cloud as much as possible. Unified inbox feature is great too.

    Hi Walter,

    I use a lot of extra columns and often resort them when looking for something plus I add a note column for text to write little notes to remind what I am waiting for regarding emails. Hard to believe after 5 1/2 months since this original question Microsoft still haven't tried to fix it. I have to use my Mums "New Improved" Outlook and it's still useless!
    Luckily, I was able to go back to the old Outlook and just ignore the prompts would you like to change :)
