I am now using Outlook for Mac, version 16.79.3 (23120117) and am extremely surprised by the new layout, which is missing various information / settings.
For example, how do I add additional columns (such as Size of Mail) to the Inbox?
I also wanted to switch back to the old version. -> Legacy Outlook. But after the switch I have to enter all email accounts again. However, when entering the account under IMAP, the "Next" button is highlighted in light grey and cannot be pressed. Email accounts can therefore not be entered.

disappointed is an understatement. I think this New Outlook is so far simplified that it is worse than the old Windows built in "Mail"
I can't even figure out how to rearrange the columns so that received is not at the very end of the list. Terrible Program.
Fortunately I've not had that issue and have been able to toggle between versions without any problem.
... I hope we can carry on using the old version until I retire!!

As you can see from my earlier Post (Nov. 13) I 'switched back' to the 'old' Outlook desktop app - using the toggle switch - and now nearly all my incoming emails are treated as Junk!
As for the compatibility between the desktop app, web interface (outlook.com) and Android app versions, it is laughable!
I came here looking for a solution and its clear there isn't one. Managing the large volume of emails I receive is criticial to my efficiency at work, losing this functionality is major problem for me.
I hope we can carry on using the old version until I retire!!
[Outlook for Windows Desktop] The inability to add columns was the final straw for me; I'm going back to the old Outlook. The column I needed is the "sender email" column, which allows you to easily spot most of the phishing and spoofed emails for easy deletion (it shows the actual email address, not the sender name). Not having that available is a deal killer. Add to that the extremely limited adjustment that can be made to the ribbon, and the loss of the Quick Access toolbar, and the new offering is so bad that if they discontinue the old outlook, I'll have to look for an entirely new email client.
