Hi.
I am currently using 'New Outlook'. Previously I was able to set a reminder/follow up on the email either before or after sending as a reminder to do so.
Sadly I cannot find it. Has it been omitted?
This was a very important tool, please reinstate this incredibly useful and productive feature.

I have the same reminder issue and that was part of my original post. In this case, I was responding to a separate question in the thread about changing colors... Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks - that is the process I used to be able to do but that feature is not enabled. That category does not pop up for me.
just found the following:
**--> Note:** If you are using Outlook with an IMAP account, you cannot assign categories to an item. The IMAP email account type does not support categories. since I have email on both computer and phone, I need IMAP and can't use POP... GRR!
And yes, the follow up reminder feature missing is the bigger question / hassle to everybody's point. I understand that a new version of outlook was built from the ground up and the program was rolled out without this feature. But this is now over 1 year ago which seems like enough time to have this feature figured out by now.
I would love to switch back to old outlook however when I try the program goes to a not responding state. I have tried several times with the same outcome. I really miss being able to set reminders along with being able to attach recently saved docs without having to search folders. I thought I was setting reminders by flagging the email and setting a date and time but unfortunately, I never receive a pop-up reminder. New outlook needs A LOT of work to get where it was before.
Hi its 2025,
I still do not see the reminder feature in the new outlook when drafting emails to be sent. Am I looking at the wrong place? I also need to set the reminder for recipients, not myself. How can I do it with the new outlook?
Microsoft have decided that no one needs this functionality lol. revert back to classic Outlook, at least you will have that until 2029
