Email reminder and follow up in New Outlook missing

Hi.

I am currently using 'New Outlook'. Previously I was able to set a reminder/follow up on the email either before or after sending as a reminder to do so.

Sadly I cannot find it. Has it been omitted?

This was a very important tool, please reinstate this incredibly useful and productive feature.

I have a slightly different spin on this question - I never asked for any reminders, but recently "New Outlook" has started suggesting emails that I might want to reply to from several days ago. There is an option to dismiss the reminder, and a question "Is this message reminder useful?". I'm assuming there is some kind of AI deciding which types of emails I might want to respond to, but I'd really like to know more about the decision process. How does New Outlook decide which message I might have wanted to reply to?

I suspect this AI version might be replacing the task you were trying to find. I couldn't find anywhere in settings to enable/disable or adjust the suggestions. If you see these, make sure you answer truthfully about whether or not the reminder was useful - it may impact your future suggestions. AI is here!

Editing to add - the suggestions just appear at the top of my Inbox, even though I have it sorted by Received. Suggestions clearly override my sort decision whether I want it or not.

Thank you!! The lack of this feature made New Outlook unusable for me and a lot of people at my company. Thank you for finding a workaround! That said the lack of this feature continues to be a big miss; I hope it is introduced soon.

    Ted

Follow my instructions sent on the 2nd Jan (further up this thread).

You can apply it to both your sent and inbox emails.

Essentially, firstly create a task then go into your daily tasks where you can edit the date and times of both the reminder and the due date.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks

When I right click the flag I get a menu that only allows me 4 dates to choose from which are Today, Tomorrow, This week or Next week. How do you choose a specific date for the follow up?
