Adding a Send Delay to outgoing emails on the New Outlook

Hello!

On the "Old version" of Outlook, it was relatively straightforward to add a send delay of, for example, 1 minute to outgoing emails, where the email is automatically stored in "Outgoing messages" for 1 minute before it is sent to the recipient. During this time you could make any changes to the email - re-read it, check and correct potential typos, etc. This could be done via a custom rule.

However, in the "New Outlook", this functionality appears to be removed. I was able to find an option to "Undo Send" for 10 seconds after send-out, however, 10 seconds isn't a lot of time.

Is it possible to add a send-delay to outgoing email in the "New Outlook" or was this functionality removed from the software?

Why Microsoft remove futures that works? please restore this possible rules on the New outlook. It saved me many times from sending wrong mails or from mails without attachments.

That screenshot is from "old" outlook, not the new one.

Apologies Joel - I have no idea how to understand what Version is old / new etc. I thought we must be on the latest as the update was so recent and this thread is almost a year old. My understanding is that the "new" outlook was only available as of August 2024.

It is possible I am getting confused with a recent update to an older version 🤔

Apologies for any inconvenience - I did wonder how it was THAT simple 🤦🏻‍♀️

Im on version 1.2024.916.200 (Production), so still don't have any option in the new outlook called "Apply rule on messages I send". What version are you on?

Where can I find this information?

In the About section it says Version 2407 Build 16.0.17830.20166 but I'm not sure that ties in?
