Adding a Send Delay to outgoing emails on the New Outlook

Hello!

On the "Old version" of Outlook, it was relatively straightforward to add a send delay of, for example, 1 minute to outgoing emails, where the email is automatically stored in "Outgoing messages" for 1 minute before it is sent to the recipient. During this time you could make any changes to the email - re-read it, check and correct potential typos, etc. This could be done via a custom rule.

However, in the "New Outlook", this functionality appears to be removed. I was able to find an option to "Undo Send" for 10 seconds after send-out, however, 10 seconds isn't a lot of time.

Is it possible to add a send-delay to outgoing email in the "New Outlook" or was this functionality removed from the software?

    I continue to be astonished that this thread has NEVER had a single response from Microsoft.    There must be a better way of getting their attention.

    This is potentially the ONLY thing preventing me from migrating to M365 at work right now. That delay send is a Heaven send. MS Product Team: do you know there are literally Harvard Business articles on the value of this feature? This isn't an edge case, it's highly utilized.

    Steps to Delay Emails by 1 Minute via Outlook Rules

    1. Open Outlook and go to the "File" tab.
    2. Click on “Manage Rules & Alerts.”
    3. In the Rules and Alerts dialog, click "New Rule."
    4. Under “Start from a blank rule”, choose:
      • “Apply rule on messages I send” under Start from a blank rule.
    5. Click Next, and don’t select any conditions (click Next again, confirm with Yes).
    6. In the Actions list, check “defer delivery by a number of minutes.”
    7. In the lower box:
      • Click the underlined "a number of" link.
      • Enter 1 and click OK.
    8. Click Next, optionally set any exceptions, or just click Next again.
    9. Give the rule a name, like "Delay 1 Minute", and make sure “Turn on this rule” is checked.
    10. Click Finish, then OK to save.

    Please add this feature so I can move to the new Outlook! It could be configurable to automatically delay send for a number of minutes or seconds in the Outlook settings menu, ideally per account (make it zero by default). That way you can still accommodate the other features that you have added such as the "send during business hours" by bypassing the settings option when an alternative send schedule is manually chosen.
