Adding a Send Delay to outgoing emails on the New Outlook

Hello!

On the "Old version" of Outlook, it was relatively straightforward to add a send delay of, for example, 1 minute to outgoing emails, where the email is automatically stored in "Outgoing messages" for 1 minute before it is sent to the recipient. During this time you could make any changes to the email - re-read it, check and correct potential typos, etc. This could be done via a custom rule.

However, in the "New Outlook", this functionality appears to be removed. I was able to find an option to "Undo Send" for 10 seconds after send-out, however, 10 seconds isn't a lot of time.

Is it possible to add a send-delay to outgoing email in the "New Outlook" or was this functionality removed from the software?

    That screenshot is from "old" outlook, not the new one.

    I think I might have found a way to do this but I am not sure what version of Outlook I am on as it baffles me if Microsoft don't know this themselves....

    You can set up a mailbox rule for all messages you send.

    Home > Rules > Manage Rules & Alerts > New Rule

    Choose "Apply rule on messages I send" and press Next, then next again (i.e. don't select a condition).

    Outlook will flag that this rule will apply to All messages you send and ask if you want to continue.

    When at the next step "What do you want to do with the message?", you can choose to delay delivery by a set number of minutes.

    Ugh how annoying. Just sent a message, and of course I remembered one additional detail 11 seconds after sending. Just in time to see the "Undo" dialog disappear after the longest-available 10-second delay.
