Adding a Send Delay to outgoing emails on the New Outlook

Hello!

On the "Old version" of Outlook, it was relatively straightforward to add a send delay of, for example, 1 minute to outgoing emails, where the email is automatically stored in "Outgoing messages" for 1 minute before it is sent to the recipient. During this time you could make any changes to the email - re-read it, check and correct potential typos, etc. This could be done via a custom rule.

However, in the "New Outlook", this functionality appears to be removed. I was able to find an option to "Undo Send" for 10 seconds after send-out, however, 10 seconds isn't a lot of time.

Is it possible to add a send-delay to outgoing email in the "New Outlook" or was this functionality removed from the software?

    Agree this is an important feature that's holding me back from going to the new Outlook.

    As per the description you have shared, we understand that you want to set a send delay delivery to outgoing emails on the New Outlook for Windows.

    Yes, you are absolutely right, in the Classic Outlook for Windows, you can set a custom rule to schedule a delay delivery for all outgoing emails. However, in the New outlook for Windows, you can only schedule delay delivery for each message instead of all outgoing emails at the moment. To do this, Open your Outlook -->New Email -->While composing a message, select the dropdown next to the Send button and select Schedule send -->Select one of the default options, then select Send or choose a custom time and then select Send -->After you select Send, the message remains in the Draft folder until the delivery time. You can refer to the screenshot below.

    I agree with the poster, this is an important feature that I use daily, and I will not be able to adopt the new Outlook until the option to add a rule for a Delay longer than 10 seconds is added.

    Many people using this for professional use want the piece of mind that if they make a mistake, they have a little time to resolve it.

    I hope to see this make it to an update soon! I would love to use the New Outlook, but I cannot for this sole reason!
