I have been blocked from my hotmail account

I hope you managed to swiftly reconnect with your doctors, I can imagine that was a nightmare.

I've had a similar issue since 2019 for an account created in 2004, just spent 2 hours with support today as I need access to some old emails and they just said the unblocking is controlled by an AI security system and proceeded to tell me what I already knew in terms of filling out the form. The form you have to fill out is pointless, I just created a brand new email account to test the system, no emails and spammed the incorrect password to get it blocked and added random answers into the form, it was unlocked immediately. Not to mention I've been charged since 2019 for Office as that same email was used for PayPal which I could not access to cancel as I could not access my email and my bank wouldn't block the transfers.

I'm in the same boat. tried 6 times now and maxxed out the daily usage for recovery. being unable to contact a support team really is useless

I need this account unblocked, as it is attached to many accounts and I need to keep in touch with my Doctors. It is so frustrating when one cannot contact Microsoft.

Why is Microsoft Hotmail blocked and why does no recovery method work? Let me tell you exactly what’s going on: users are getting locked out of their own accounts, recovery forms are either ignored or denied, and even when you provide all the right info, you’re still getting stonewalled.

I believe Microsoft is doing this intentionally. Yeah, I said it. There’s a pattern here that can’t be brushed off as "just a system error" or "an unfortunate glitch." When a tech giant this massive, with this much infrastructure, starts “coincidentally” locking people out of accounts—and the recovery tools mysteriously fail to help—that’s not a bug, that’s a strategy.

• Maybe it’s about pushing people to newer platforms like Outlook or pushing them into new subscription models.
• Maybe it’s about reducing the burden of maintaining older systems.
• Or maybe—just maybe—it’s about data control, throttling support, and eliminating legacy free-tier users without saying it outright.

You don’t spend billions on AI, servers, and cloud infrastructure, and then somehow forget how to maintain a 20+ year old email service unless it’s on purpose.

So if you feel like you’re being ignored, locked out, and left in the dark—it’s not just you. It’s not just bad luck. It’s a deliberate move. They just won’t say it out loud.

And if Microsoft wants to prove otherwise, they can start by actually fixing the recovery process and treating users with some damn respect.

I honestly don't think Microsoft is interested in helping us. I have the exact same problem and I get stuck in the same loop. I need my emails and information I have on hotmail, but I can't access them. The stupid form I have to fill out leads nowhere.

I can follow the instructions all the way to... After you enter the security code, you'll need to change your password to complete the unblocking process. Make sure you create a strong, unique password to help keep your account secure.

BUT THERE IS NO OPTION TO CHANGE MY PASSWORD

My Hotmail account has been blocked due to multiple invalid login attempts by a malicious user. Despite resetting the password through Microsoft Account Help, I am still unable to log in and continue to receive the same error message.
"You've tried to sing in too many times with an incorrect account or password"

Could you please advise when my account will be automatically unblocked, or if there are any steps I need to take to unlock it?
