How do we keep formatting when pasting into new signature

We are not yet in a directory environment, so use a copy/paste from a Word template or an older sent email to create signatures. When I try to paste a well formatted signature into the signature block (Accounts/Signatures) for New Outlook, there is no way to remember formatting when pasting. Ctrl+V does not keep the font, hyperlinks or graphic. The only easy way I've found to recreate it is to start in the older version of Outlook, create the signature and then switch to the new version. How can we easily do this right in the new version?

I spent over 2 hours making a nice e-mail signature in PPT and then tried pasting in on the desktop version and the web version using Edge. It's mind-blowing that it's 2024, when drones can deliver packages without fail, but we can copy and paste between two Microsoft applications.

Thanks for sharing as appreciate the efforts but it's still a really poor oversight by microsoft for such a simple yet important feature for businesses. It's such a faff to be resizing and spending hours to do this and it's not feasible for 50+ organisations

Not the most elegant solution but we were able to get ours to work using the below method.

    1. Have the signature(s) setup in a Word doc
    2. Highlight the signature in Word, right click > copy
    3. Place cursor in Outlook signature editor. IMPORTANT: do NOT right click and select Paste. Use the keyboard shortcut (ctrl+V) to paste it into Outlook. This seems to preserve the text formatting and styling. (Images will still be missing but their should be blank placeholders)
    4. Double-click the blank box where an image should be, then click the insert image icon in the toolbar. Add your image/logo and manually scale the it to the correct size.

This is not 100% perfect but it's the ONLY way we were able to get it to work after hours of troubleshooting!

Hi there! Is there any update on this issue? I am a new employee, trying to set up my company's custom signature, and when I try to copy and past my co-workers, all of the custom color and font is removed. I can copy and paste into Word just fine, but not into Outlook. Is there an update on this?
