Hey folks,
I've created a couple alias email addresses via Outlook itself (via https://account.live.com/names/Manage) but recently when I try sending an email from any of them it simply does not get sent? I can receive emails on those aliases.
This on Outlook in the browser (not the app), I select the alias I want to send from and it shows in my sent box but it never reaches the recipient. I've tired multiple different recipients and no it is not going to their spam either, double checked that. This used to work, are aliases just broken now? UGH!

Totally agree. This has been disastrously handled by Microsoft and the workarounds are extreme downgrades. I’m going to start exploring other options as well, and I’ve used Outlook for decades.
Until today my alias worked fine! But all of a sudden it stopped working.
I added the alias, and verified the alias e-mail again. I can even select the allias to send e-mails.
But when sending an e-mail with the alias mailing address, the e-mail gets stuck in the drafts folder and cannot be send....
Would love to hear a working solution!

Did anyone find a solution to this? I have got the same issue. Want to send an email From Alias, however, there is no option of "Addresses to send from" under Mail settings to add the alias.

I have similar problem, I am the admin for Microsoft 365 at my organization.
Some users needs to send occasionally emails from their alias addresses.
I can't see any why to do it in Outlook Web (Works fine in Outlook 2019 app).
The instruction I could find are to go to settings, Compose and reply, Addresses to send from and choose the alias email addresses you want to use. But there is no option called Addresses to send from.
did anyone get an answer for this, i'm having the same issue! it wasn't a problem before but now it is. help!

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble sending emails from your aliases in Outlook on the web. This may happen if your email is not configured to send email using the alias as the default email address. To fix this, you need to enable the Send from alias feature in your Outlook settings. Here are the steps you can follow:
• Sign in to your Outlook on the web account using your primary email address and password.
• At the top of the page, select Settings and choose Options.
• In the Options pane, under Mail, go to Accounts and select Connected accounts.
• Under From address, select Change your From address.
• Choose the alias you want to use as your default from the drop-down list and select Save
