This morning Outlook updated and I noticed there is a new search bar to search apps, how may I remove this bar?

I do not use apps, do not want to use apps and have no need to search for them.

If this is related to MS Team and conjoining everything, I still want to remove this app search bar in Outlook.

Please help.

Thank you!

I'm having the exact same problem and my options window looks the same as the one JoJoExp referenced above.

Looking for a solution as this window is a nuisance and is taking up valuable space in my bar, also collapsing the search window and making it smaller.

    I have the same issue.

IT IS ANOYING when i try to find any email, that the real search bar is shrinked, while this stupid "SEARCH APP" bar is wide and I can´t hide it, remove it or at least shrink it.

Please remove it. It is NOT USEFULL.

    I've found this video.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M14AJHl6MJc&t=7s
    you
have to open cmd and paste this line:

    cd %programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun

and press enter button, this will situate cmd in this directory,

    then paste this line:

    thisofficec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.17126.20132

and press enter button , this will update your software to the specified version, and will not longer show the annoying app search bar.
