Outlook unexpectedly has an App Search bar above the message list
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
This morning Outlook updated and I noticed there is a new search bar to search apps, how may I remove this bar?
I do not use apps, do not want to use apps and have no need to search for them.
If this is related to MS Team and conjoining everything, I still want to remove this app search bar in Outlook.
Please help.
Thank you!

Try updating your Office installation (File > Account > Update Options > Update Now).
The bug should be fixed; see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/outlook-unexpectedly-has-an-app-search-bar-above-the-message-list-c1bed629-0d4e-42d4-b66e-877cccb74b47.
Exactly...what is the point of adding something on and it does not even work. Plus, what is it even supposed to do?
I understand programs are updated randomly, but did anyone check the functionality of this "App Search" option before blasting it out to every use?
Really? Disable updates is your solution? You have no issue with with your solution that disabling updates opens up systems to hacks because we will forget to turn auto-updates back on?
MICROSOFT, PLEASE REMOVE THIS WORTHLESS APP SEARCH BOX. Everyone in our office is complaining about it. We use the search box to find emails ALL DAY LONG and this box is completely in the way of that. We have no need for an App search box in Outlook, it's for EMAIL. If I need to go to an app, I'll direct myself to the appropriate area of my computer to do so.
