Outlook unexpectedly has an App Search bar above the message list
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
This morning Outlook updated and I noticed there is a new search bar to search apps, how may I remove this bar?
I do not use apps, do not want to use apps and have no need to search for them.
If this is related to MS Team and conjoining everything, I still want to remove this app search bar in Outlook.
Please help.
Thank you!

Try updating your Office installation (File > Account > Update Options > Update Now).
The bug should be fixed; see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/outlook-unexpectedly-has-an-app-search-bar-above-the-message-list-c1bed629-0d4e-42d4-b66e-877cccb74b47.
That is not a solution for me, though I appreciate your response. I am not going to uninstall and reinstall my entire office suite becuase Microsoft put something there that I want no part of.
This is also not a fix for me. I pay for the updates, and I don't want to miss out on potentially important updates down the road, nor do I want my reading pane on the bottom. I like it on the right side. I don't know why Microsoft has to do this, along with other software companies like Adobe.
I am also experiencing this issue, I cannot get rid of this stupid "app search" box that does nothing.
