This morning Outlook updated and I noticed there is a new search bar to search apps, how may I remove this bar?

I do not use apps, do not want to use apps and have no need to search for them.

If this is related to MS Team and conjoining everything, I still want to remove this app search bar in Outlook.

Please help.

Thank you!

Why do we have to wait 9 days for an update? Work around 1is a train-wreck, and workaround 2 is useless for me as I am not using 365. Shame on MS!

This problem has been recognized here since January 31st. Here we are February 3rd and still no real solution. The "search app" bar doesn't even do anything, it's off center, and it's completely useless. I mean, if it could do something, I could at least say, "oh, here's an update I really don't need." Let's uncheck that function in the Options. However, it does nothing and there are no check boxes to remove the thing. You left click, nothing. Right click, nothing. I'm not sure what it's intention is other than to see how many folks will come here looking for a solution - which happens to be nonexistent as of the 3rd of Feb. Come ON Microsoft. Get one of your little minion engineers to remove this useless code and send out an update pronto. We live in a modern era where this stuff should be dealt with virtually instantly. Amiright? Makes you wonder how many man hours of productivity is wasted here - time we will never get back from good ol Microsoft.

Completely agree; most customer service organisations would have fixed this in 24 hours.
